Close the Tap — Winner Announcement Online via Zoom | April 18, 2026 | 14:00 CET

Join us for the live announcement of the winners of Close the Tap, the international video contest calling on filmmakers, students, and creatives worldwide to help shut the carbon stream.

Now in its fifth edition, Close the Tap challenges participants to produce short films — live-action or animated — that inform, inspire, and move audiences to take action on climate change. This year's theme, "Greening our cities, reimagining our future", invited entrants to explore how urban environments can be reimagined to meet the challenges of a warming world.

The 2026 edition has been the most competitive yet, with 15 entries received from 8 different countries — a record-breaking participation that reflects the growing global urgency around climate action.

During this online ceremony, climate change expert Daniele Pernigotti will reveal the winning entries and award the grand prize of €1,500, celebrating the films that best combine scientific rigour with creative storytelling.
