Corporate climate commitments have multiplied in recent years, yet many still lack the concrete strategies needed to turn ambition into transformation. Increasingly, attention is shifting from pledges to credible transition plans, structured roadmaps that enable companies to align their business models, investments and governance with climate objectives.
Beyond responding to regulatory expectations such as the CSRD and growing stakeholder scrutiny, credible transition plans are increasingly recognized as a driver of long-term corporate resilience and competitiveness.
This workshop aims to help companies move from commitments to actionable strategies by exploring what credible and science-aligned transition plans look like in practice. Two company case studies will illustrate how organizations are developing and implementing transition plans, sharing concrete lessons on governance, strategy, and operational implementation. Participants will then engage in peer learning breakout sessions to discuss key barriers and success factors for designing and implementing transition plans within their own organizations.
The event will conclude with insights from FACTA EU on transparency, accountability, and the importance of credible communication around corporate transition strategies.
The Accelerate Climate Transition (ACT) initiative, developed by ADEME in partnership with CDP and now hosted by the WBA, provides companies with the structured methodologies needed to design, implement, and evaluate credible climate strategies. By offering sector-specific tools aligned with the Paris Agreement and the 1.5 °C pathway, ACT serves as a vital accountability framework that helps organizations strengthen their transition plans and ensure their readiness for a low-carbon economy.
The event will be in English but with Italian translation support.
